KRP Christmas Tree Competition
The lights in the parks are on, the snow is here, that only means one thing! It's time for a KRP Christmas!
KRP has been back working full time since September, and we are thrilled to have all the team together again! With the holidays looming, everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit and, of course, getting back into our Christmas shenanigans!
Following the pursuit of our 2019 Christmas Competition, we have a Christmas Tree Competition this year, and we need YOU to help us determine the winners!
Our Accounting, Construction, Leasing, Property Management, and Security and Maintenance teams compete to see who will come out on top for the best tree. Take a look at the photos and videos below, and select who you think should take home the crown.
Ohh, and as a thank you for helping us choose the top tree, three lucky voters will be selected to win a $25 gift card.
First Place
Envision cookies, hot cider, children’s giggles and the wonderful aroma of an evergreen. Embrace your childhood memories of heading out as a family and finding the perfect Christmas tree. Followed by the drive home with the Christmas tree tied to the roof of your car whilst singing along to carols. This is the stuff dreams are made of! We wanted to re-create our memory and how better than to bring it to life with our homemade Griswold car, inspired by the Griswold’s from the Christmas classic “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”! Our creation is made with mostly recycled materials and crafted by hand. We hope it not only brought a smile to your face but most importantly transported you, even for a moment, to that magical time and heartwarming memory! Happy Holidays!
Second Place
As the world turns, so does KRP…
This tree demonstrates the world-wide reach of the businesses who call our buildings their home away from home. From the KRP Christmas Village at the base of the tree, to the homemade, edible decorations, our tree design is intended to represent the flexibility, innovation and “one-team” values KRP Properties strives to uphold.
Third Place
Welcome to Candy Lane, inspired by the movie Elf where Buddy the Elf leaves the North Pole to search for his dad in New York City.
He passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, through the sea of swirly-twirly gum drops, and then he walked through the Lincoln Tunnel to arrive in New York
After finding his dad, he stumbles on Gimbels Department store, his passion for Christmas and candy leads him to decorate the store in keeping with the Christmas Spirt.
This is our tribute to the movie and Buddy’s love of candy. As we know the elves love to stick to the four main food groups: Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corn, and Syrup!
Given that KRP is such a sweet place to work we really could not have picked a better theme!

The Elves
Fourth Place
The night before Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. This family was watching the clock, not making a sound, but at the strike of seven all feet hit the ground, looking to find supplies for their traditional Christmas tree ornament making night.
Mom ran up from the basement holding two hand baskets in which she'd stored colorful ribbons and crafting trinkets. Cutting each ribbon with care and precision, she used pins to create Christmas balls seen in her vision. She then went outside to gather some pinecones; adorned them of ribbons, cranberries, and something looking like rhinestones.
