KRP Properties Announces Leadership Transition as Martin Vandewouw Retires

Leadership-Announcement

After nearly 23 years of remarkable leadership, Martin Vandewouw, President of KRP Properties, has announced his decision to retire, effective May 2, 2025. During his tenure, Martin has led KRP through significant milestones, including doubling the commercial real estate portfolio, diversifying its tenant base, and positioning KRP as one of the largest commercial office owners and managers in the city. His leadership saw the company navigate several business cycles including the tech wreck of 2000, the 2008 financial crisis, and more recently the pandemic, ensuring continued growth and success. Under Martin’s direction, KRP earned recognition with an Employee’s Choice award in 2010, and as a Best Place to Work in 2024, a testament to the strength and dedication of its team.

Looking ahead, Terry Young, VP of Operations, who has been with KRP since 2013, will take over as President. As a key driver of KRP’s success, Terry has overseen the growth of the property management department, the integration of new office portfolios, and the adoption of cutting-edge technology platforms. He is also recognized locally for his expertise in ESG and environmental stewardship. Terry has also been an essential member of the leadership team, driving operational excellence and supporting the company’s growth strategies and will continue to play a pivotal role during this leadership transition and beyond.

“I am confident that Terry’s leadership will guide the company to even greater success,” said Martin Vandewouw. “The future of KRP is bright, and I look forward to seeing the continued growth and innovation under his direction.”

KRP Properties looks forward to the next chapter under new leadership and remains committed to driving excellence and innovation in the commercial property management sector.
