Building Overview

This Building is the 1st of three constructed in a cluster that surrounds a scenic pond. The Buildings are linked by a footpath and bridge. It has a very natural setting with landscaped flower beds and an outdoor volleyball court. It was one of the first built in the Park and maintains the quality and aesthetic appeal that Kanata Research Park Corporation represents. The Building is a 2 storey poured concrete structure with pre-cast architectural panels and aluminum framed glass curtain wall.

The Building is constructed with a centre core and vertical access is provided by 6 stairwells. Two overhead "at grade" doors provide shipping and receiving access for the tenants. The Building is fully sprinklered, with an addressable fire alarm system with remote monitoring. The building is equipped with a card access entry system that is monitored and controlled by a central security centre.

This Building is fully conditioned through packaged roof mounted units totaling 110 tons. VAV distribution and perimeter baseboard heating is controlled through a central building automation system. Independent auxiliary cooling capacity is available for tenant specific requirements.
