 Park News July 2024

This warm weather allows us to get outside and complete some annual household duties. For all the gardeners out there, remember to deadhead your flowers, remove faded blooms from your spring perennial flowers such as peonies, bearded iris, and Asiatic lilies. Harvest daily as vegetables always taste better when young and tender and stay on top of pests with daily walks of your garden.

And remember, my grandma always used to say, ne’er trust a July sky, and if ant hills are high in July, the coming winter will be hard. Here’s a few happenings in and around the Parks which will get your adrenaline up this summer! Get out there and have fun!
